Talking New baby long haired hammy!!

Hey

I'm just back from the pet shop- one I've never been to before in my local town.

So I got a long haired baby Syrian hamster!!
I don't have George anymore (previous hamster) as I gave him to my friends friend who's hamster died at 5 years old.

I've called him Dancer (my mum came up with the name) because he looks like he dances when he's trying to climb. As he's so small just now it looks so funny

I will post pics once he wakes up tonight or tomorrow

Aww he is lovely - a black eyed cream I'd say.
Take care with the cage roof though as it will need meshed as he will very soon be able to climb up there and easily escape through the bars.

Thank you!
I learnt my lesson with George because one morning he had escaped and was climbing across my forehead!!

So now we have a piece of temporary plywood to cover the top but I am planning on buying mesh somewhere as it will look better

He is gorgeous

Hope he doesn't grow out of his wheels too quickly - he'll probably need 8" - 11" when fully grown :O
