Good hamster books available in the USA?
Hey guys! I would really like to purchase some good hamster books. Are there any really good and accurate books you could recommend? Thanks!

I have Hamster: Your Happy Healthy Pet and Hamsters For Dummies. I asked our vet to take a look at them, and she said both were "okay" - they each had some good and a little questionable stuff in them.
Edited to add: now I just call or drop by my vet's office if I have a big question I can't find an answer to here on the HC.

I have this magazine from the popular pets series, got it at either petsmart or petco (I'll never not mix those two up >_<)
 
It has been an invaluable resource for me and the information has been fact checked by various vets. It also has fun/interesting articles, a section of common illnesses/diseases, how to care for your hamster throughout its life time, and even an awesome hamster history section

I have all of the above mentioned books and HAMSTERS by Animal Planet. All together they provide lots of good information. But the addition of all kinds of information on the forums on HC also are very helpful. None of the books give as much information as the stories told by members who have had hammies go through illnesses or situations in real life. Also, with the technology available today with the internet, tons of info is available just by Googling "Hamsters".

I've done quite a lot of internet research as well! In fact that's where I've learned everything that I currently know about hamsters - lot's of valuable information out there! I just wanted to purchase some books that I could keep handy Thanks for all the recommendations! xx
