Treating a wooden wheel
Hi,
I have a new wooden wheel for my dwarfs and think it is best to treat it so that urine doesn't seep into it and to make it easy to keep clean.
Can anyone suggest what would be best and safe for my dwarfs to treat it with?
Thank you.

Re: Treating a wooden wheel
I think people use Plastikote paint to stop urine soaking into it.

Re: Treating a wooden wheel
I use plastikote on my wooden shelves, wheels and some other wooden things. I have both the brush on and spray on types. I like the spray variety as I find it quicker (and the hams don't mind if it's not 100% neat!). B&Q, The Range and Hobbycraft are places I've found it in.

Re: Treating a wooden wheel
I use Fiddes Hard Wax Oil. The cheapest option, though, is probably watered down PVA glue.
