Hi all need to let you know about Angel my Syrian hamster. I was cleaning her cage out tonight so put her in the ball to keep her safe while cleaning her cage and at the corner of my eye i saw a white thing running about free in my room she had escaped i caught her and put her back in the ball then watched her escape again she knows how to open the ball how clever but need to keep a eye on the cheeky Angel lol

My god, glad you noticed it soon enough. I mean I always make sure I also see her in the corner of my eye but there is always the odd moment when you look at something else! I bet she had a right good laugh and knew exactly what she was doing
I am really scared about Eleanor figuring it out too as she has escaped her cage before, which was quite difficult!

They are master escape artists my hamster i had when i was a kid was called Hennie anyway she used to be a regular escapee she kept escaping from her cage and she ever got up the chimney once she was a pure Albino so came down the chimney black! She was fine tho she lived for 3 and a half years she was and always will be my best hamster ever! She is now enjoying life over the rainbow with all the other hamsters that have passed over the rainbow too. R.I.P Hennie mummy misses you. Just wanting to say how much they can be cheeky and escape lol

Haha, that is an amazing story, and how lucky Hennie was to come out unharmed, it just shows how tough those little ones are. And good age, too, I always hope I can have one staying with me for longer but they all seem to pass away after two years, my absolute favourite only lived for 8 months and I still miss him *sigh* so I suppose it's good to have Eleanor giving us teh racket as it helps that she is a different character and so demanding!!!

yea she was unharmed and i was so devastated when she passed but she is a hamster i will NEVER forget. Angel does act like Hennie a bit and its took me a bit of time to suss out her personality Angel isn't a pure Albino as Hennie was tho as Hennie had the red eyes too Angel has really light brown on her coat. I love them but forgot how mischievous they can be and it is hard adapting to a new hamster.
