Dozy day made me laugh. I think one of mine had a dozy day yesterday as I never saw him all day or night. Then again I weren't home much anyway. Then about an hour ago I got home from work determined to drag him out of his nest if he still hadn't surfaced. But, there he was sat there as large as life on his hut waiting to come out

Re: Is this it?
*big hugs* i hope she isnt passing to the bridge, she might just have a bit of a cold, hamsters do get colds, maybe offer her a bit of cucumber or carrot, i know you tested for dehydration, but then she can take it to her nest, so she can keep warm and sitll have fluids.
if you can get a jar of babyfood, i find when mine dont feel like eating normal food, they will have a little bit of that, you can always get a small syringe from a parmacy and hand feed her some, then you know she has fed.
keep us updated hun x

Re: Is this it?
I'd like to know her back story. Is there a certain key word for me to search to find it? Anyway, I've been thinking of you both since reading this yesterday. Keep hoping to hear a positive update!

Re: Is this it?
***UPDATE***
Belle is still quite sleepy today but has had some more porridge and I'm gonna try giving her some baby food later. I am totally aware that she can not live on a diet of baby food, porridge and fruit or veg but right now that's all she'll eat. Unless things go downhill we have a vet appointment on Wednesday. However the vet keeps talking about possibly having Belle pts because if it being unfair for her to live on this diet which would make her poorly anyway. I've given her some extra bedding today too. For some reason she's decided that sleeping in her bed is no longer any good and is sleeping in the corner of the cage, and so I just put the extra bedding nearby so she can make her bed. She popped out in the early hours of the morning for a drink, but since has stayed in bed. I did see her about 7am, and she was stretching and look as cute as always. She looked like she wanted to come out but wouldn't let me get her out. I am not sure what else I can do for her. There appears to be no reason for her to not eat, and not eating is making her ill. I hate seeing her like this but I need to do whatever is best for her - though right now I have no idea what that is ... Thanks all for your thoughts and good vibes - I just hope Belle is listening to each of the messages!

Ohhh gosh... I just hope she gets better... =( I also hope you get strength in those worrying moments... I'm thinking of you two... If she eats porridge and baby food, I'd put crushed some seeds in it... Like very well crushed mix that she was eating before... Sorry if you already tried... =(
Hugs and kisses

Re: Is this it?
You were (and are?) very ill, do you know what it was/is? Because some infections can pass from human to hammy.
And THF's suggestion of crusing some seeds into the porridge and babyfood is a good idea

Re: Is this it?
I still don't know what is wrong with me. I'm much better than I was but have random fainting episodes still. The doctors haven't come to any conclusions (not surprizing since today it took them well over an hour to get a blood test from me!). BUT they've said it wasn't contagious. Plus Belle stopped eating before I was ill ... Poor baby is soooo sleepy at the moment. I'm hoping it's to do with the weather rather than anything serious ...

3 out of 4 hammies (all Syrians) are very sleepy lately... They don't eat as much, but will gladly accept treats... That'S what scares me about Belle... Will she accept treats or she'll just eat porridge and baby food ?

Re: Is this it?
I hope she starts picking up some more hun, feeding babyfood for a few days is ok, hammond had it for a few days when he hurt his teeth once they settled i put him back to normal food x
I used to have dizzy spells, and have feinted several times in the past because of it, mine is because of low blood pressure, when I get up or move too fast the pressure drops, making my eyesight and balance go. I dont know if what you have is like that, but I hope they can help you soon x
