Re: "Fancy" Russian Dwarf
"Fancy" Russians are the same as normal Russians just with different colors than the natural one. They are the same species, well I bet a lot are hybrids, but it's just different coloration between the two.
Think of it like the Fancy "Teddy Bears" compared to normal "Teddy Bears" or "Panda Bears", "Black Bear", "Brown Bear", etc. when talking about Syrians.

OK! Is it just me or did it appear that despite the coloration they even looked different in shape of their face? They looked more mouse like to me. I wonder if it was a photo manipulation.

Re: "Fancy" Russian Dwarf
It could just be how the Fancies are posed or something. But yes, their faces do look different in the pictures.

Awh. That looks like my Pippy. So cute. My girl has a nice white fluffy tail like the one in the picture. Soo sweet. Heart is melting. Awh.

Re: "Fancy" Russian Dwarf
It'll just be different degrees of hybridisation. Or different colours. Or anything else they think they can package up as special.

Re: "Fancy" Russian Dwarf
Hybrids as we know are Winter Whites bred to Campbell's.
Some Hybrids take the shape & look of the WW more than the C & some more C & less WW
So there will be a lot of variation in each ham, in face shape, body shape & colouring.

Re: "Fancy" Russian Dwarf
Yeah, it's really annoying how petshops invent these random names to sell animals, it just confuse and mislead the public... What's wrong with just calling them by proper specie names? :\ From what I've gathered, the "fancy" version is just different coat color/pattern from the common agouti colors.
