can hamsters see?
Yes. Although some are born blind, and some do become blind or near blind with age (like our roborovski Skip)
whats the noise hamsters are making?
Depends on the noise. We often hear the hybrids squeak, they have a variety of squeaks that can be anything from relatively happy, squabbling, fighting, dreaming... We can even tell them apart quite well
The only worrying ones are the really urgent ones which mean we need to get up and interfere with them. We've also heard Fwirl scream and click... There're loads of noises they can make and they tend to mean different things depending on the specifics.
do hamsters have feelings, like do they feel love?
They have feelings. I believe they feel attatchment, don't know if they understand or feel love as such - no-one can know. An example is our hybrid Dusty who is attatched to Scruff, recently Scruff had an eye problem and Dusty took it upon herself to look after Scruff. She'd clean the eye, look out for Scruff and even took to supervising what we were doing to treat it (followed by deciding weeks of treatment hadn't worked so we were clearly a problem - at which point she took to attacking us to protect Scruff).
If that doesn't show something like love I'm not sure what would.
We also find that if Scamp gets startled or scared she'll be quiet and calm with us for a while. She also likes to stay close when she's out exploring a big space, like she'll only play in a playpen if one or both of us is/are sitting in it with her so she knows we're nearby. Even then she just tries to escape, but without at least one of us there she just hides and is really unhappy. The same goes for floor time - if we let her loose in the room and sit out of the way she gets upset and hides. If I let her loose in the entire flat and follow her around she really enjoys herself. As Poms said, its that we're providing safety and security.
