I think the bridge is calling Bear
Well, I've been preparing for this moment since last year and I think its drawing near.
After 3 near misses of losing the little man in past 6 months I think his little body is starting to fail.
I just went to see him, usually he gets up but he didn't. His eyes were closed and he just weakly lapped up some baby food from me.
In the time i went to get him some cucumber he'd rolled back round into bed and he wouldn't wake back up.
I'm going to stay in tonight to be with him, he seemed very distant and just stared at me.
He' s a good age, I got him in February 2010 so he must 2 and half years old. Just handed some uni work in today though, no more until August now and have a whole week of social catch ups with friends..this is meant to be my happy week...after losing Seth the other week this has scared me.
But I know he has had more than plenty of chances and he can't stay with me forever.
Please send good well vibes to him if this is his time,
I just needed to share
x

Re: I think the bridge is calling Bear
thank you all, I know it is and ive been telling myself for a while now to prepare, just with losign seth unexpectedly the thought of not having any hammies in the house seems odd.
He just took some cucumber and had a waddle out his bed, i heard some very slow munching.
Im going to try get some more fluids in him later, make sure hes all comfortable and well fed.

Re: I think the bridge is calling Bear
Awww that's good he's managing to get some cucumber down him. I did the same when my Holly was old, just kept her as comfortable as possible and gave her baby food, cucumber etc. Holly deteriorated very quickly and went in the night in her sleep. My heart goes out to you, I am sorry to hear you recently lost Seth too,was he an old fella too? Xxx

Re: I think the bridge is calling Bear
Amethyst he's been a great friend to you all this time and maybe its now his time to walk down the path to the bridge. But if he does he leaves a strong and blessed friend one that will see him again one day. Let him know he's loved and he will let you know if he's going to go. Thinking of you. hugs x
