Update!!!!!!!!

I got this email from my husband today about Gerald the hamster. He said that the person watching Gerald told the mother that there was a person interested in taking the hamster and apparently the mother was thrilled about that!! Yay..

Now this thing is, the mother is going to now ask the daughter whom I guess Gerald belongs to if she wants to give her hamster up. So I hope so!!

Apparently Gerald has a little aquarium with the grate top thing.. Not sure I feel good about that description, for the sake of Gerald people put the thought out of me adopting him, I must get him away from the bad cedar shavings and little aquarium if he is a Syrian hamster..

Oh I hope I hope I hope!!

Sad news... I daughter must have decided she wanted to keep it because poor Gerald went back home to live in his cedar filled little cage

I have asked my husband to see if he can get an email address of the people who own the ham so that I can refer them to this site so that they can read about proper care and most of all proper bedding!

But at lest they know if it comes down to it, there is someone out there that would like to take him in the future.

Default Sorry

I would not give up just yet the novelty may wear off in a few days and then they will be asking if you are still interested.

Oh my gosh! I've followed this thread from start to finish in like 1 hour and I'm so sad you didn't get the hamster Candacebell. But with the info you gave them hopefully the owners will think about the needs of the hamster.

You did your best
