How long can hamsters go without water?

Well, random question but I havent been home for about 2 days and I realized, theres no water bottle in Buttercups cage! I gave her water about 2 days ago. Is she fine for about 2 days without water? Shes a syrian
(sorry if Im being annoying with questions)

Eekk! I read if they dont have water for about a day and a half they will be dehidrated and could die! Oh no! Is this true?? :0

Em...Im not sure how long they can go without water but they should have access to water at all times, My syrian is at his water bottle alot at night when hes been running in his wheel same with my russian. Why didnt buttercup not have a water bottle or dish? xxx

I have no idea :/ are you home now? or has she still not got water? if your with her id give her some and keep an eye on her you can also give her some cucumber to help rehydrate her xxx

If your not home can you get someone to go see to her to check shes ok and to give her fresh water? Iv looked online and it says they can become severely dehydrated within a day and a half so Id say get water to her ASAP xxx

I'm sorry to be blunt but it is a little irresponsible to go away and not check everything over before you leave. I think you should try and get back to her as soon as to give her some water to get her hydrated again.

How hot is it where you are at the moment?

If it's hot then i would worry. If it's not you'll get away with it, but especially when going away for 2 days you really ought to check things. When i go away for that long i sometimes add extra bottles just in case (well some of my bottles are dodgy anyway)

she'll be very thirsty when you get home though.. so give her lots to drink when you do!

Omigosh I cant get home for a few hours!

I just completely forgot! I feel awful

She drank a ton of water before we left and its not hot.
Also, I had no idea I wouldnt be able to come home for a couple of days. I dont know what I could do. I dont know anybody who could check on her.

Best thing you can do is get home as soon as you can and give her plenty water and even some food thats got moisture to it like a bit of apple or cucumber anything to get her rehydrated as quick as possible. Keep us updated on how she is when you get home x
