What is your favourite hamster name?
To kick things off I'll go for a timeless classic
Harry
You can list as many names as you wish - male or female, any species.
Have fun

Aw thanks! Morag has a Pippin and a Merry too!
And I lost count of how many Harry the Hamsters we had in our house growing up (my little brother's hamsters were all called Harry. When one died, he got a new one the same colour (cinnamon banded) and called that one Harry as well. Then we got a Labrador and he's called Harry too.....)
I've been thinking of names recently as I'm planning on a new Syrian next weekend xfingers crossedx (if not, at least meeting some local breeders next weekend).
Here's my current crop of possibles:
BOYS: Alfie, Arthur, George, Oz or Joey
GIRLS: Phoebe, Jasmine, Meg, Sascha or Indigo
Not a hamster name, but I just heard someone got a snake recently, and called her Aritsa - as in "aah! it's a snake!". I thought that was funny.
I dislike names that are too "pink" - like Cuddles or Fluffy (although I was guilty of that one when I was younger!). When I've been working at the vets more often than not it's the hamsters called Cuddles that secretly want to eat you alive.

Guilty
I too am guilty of the "Harry" stream in childhood - some were even girls I am sure now! Henry (my attempt at something different ) became Henrietta I remember that from when I was about 7
Jade, Jasmin, Yasmin, Cleo, Marshmallow "Marshie", and a lot of brown food type names such as Cocoa, Chocy, Raisin, Peanut, Sultan and Sultana, Fig etc all feature in my past somewhere too! All my babies come with pedigrees and adoptees often laugh at the names I give my hamsters

The only hamster I've named is Biscuits. I like the name Hammy, I considered naming Biscuits hammy but changed my mind, thought he needed something more original!

I don't know why, but I chose Hamish for my hamster...One way or another, he came to be known as Ham 'n' Cheese...I really don't know how that came about, but it sounds so funny to me!
