He's absolutely gorgeous - I'm afraid he's making some of mine look positively dowdy!
Hobbs is fuming!

Grooming my LH lot tonight I could also say (and did say) "Oh Rolo"
It's all my fault but I was obviously a bit heavy handed with the veggie oil on his wheel last weekend - now he's got a greasy mohican and matted fur behind his ears, which I'm unlikely to get rid of by Saturday:
Typical, eh
For those who don't know he's Dubaku's brother and, though he doesn't look to have grown the same glorious length coat as Dubs (how have you done that, Teresa? :P ), he did get a third at Highworth (his best ever bless him) so I'm disappointed I've been so dumb
Like brother like...er...brother then!

grab cornflour now, or baby talc ad dust him, personally i prefer cornflour, give him a good sprinkle using your fingers to work it well into his coat then try to dust out as much as you can, then comb out the rest! best way to degrease long hairs! but will make them a little pale, but done now it should be fine for the show, but cant really leave it much later
none of my long hairs will be in the show, errols too old, cecils got one eye, and chewie....well chewie doesnt do shows :P so i am very envious of your stunning longhairs!

Aww, Dubaku and Rolo are gorgeous I'm sure they will both do well, even with Dubaku's fur loss and Rolo's greasy-ness.
What beauties!

I have a theory. Does anyone else notice how very electrostatic the LH satins get? I think when they run on the wheel they 'charge' up and their fur stands on end and tangles around the wheel spindle. Does that sound plausible?

It makes perfect sense Souff though I am not a science expert! Dubaku came out for a run one night on Arti who was wearing a dressing gown, obviously man made. His hair totally went wild - he looked amazing and I wish we'd got photos!
The hair is so fine that it seems it doesnt take much to get them electrostatically charged!

oh Julie, rolo is lovely. His colour looks really good, and doesn't he still look like Dubs?
I think dubaku's fur length comes from the fact that he has the laziest nature I have ever seen. So he (usually) does nothing to spoil his coat. apart from when this show is due of course!

Did we get to the bottom of this, Spud?
I reckoned it was from the opening on the Wodent Wheel - Harry has done likewise, as he sits in his wheel, looking up and out at us... which means he rubs the back of his neck constantly!
