The pet store where I got Zoe, the hamster cage is a 50 gallon tank set up next to the door where anyone can pick them up, sneeze or cough on them as they walk by. Half the time the employees aren't paying attention to them and one time I walked by this pet store (It is in a mall) there were two middle school age boys terrorizing them by playing with them rough and trying to trap them in the paper towel rolls. This infuriated me. Despite the fact that Zoe died Four days after I bought her. Also my sister bought a hamster at Petsmart and It died one week to the day after she bought it. She told me that everything that the girl told her was completely opposite to everything she read here. I told her to look at this website before she bought the hamster.
