I've voted 'both' as Syrians are gorgeous and cuddly, but I've kept dwarves and I love their mad little ways

Syrians as they can live on their own and don't fight.

Syrians as they are easier to handle and are generally nicer than dwarfs (although dwarfs are often more fun to watch)

Pouchy- dwarfs can live perfectly happily on their own too.

Syrians for me. I like looking at dwarfs but I wouldn't want one.

i couldn't imagine not having both! it's interesting that people either think just syrian or both... no-one thinks just dwarves. if i HAD to choose, i'd have just syrian, but i won't ever have to choose hopefully!

of the dwarves i love how robos are so entertaining, like a furry fish tank and they just get on with things while you sit and watch them. I have a pair next to my bed and they trot about while i read or whatever. You can't do that with syrian, chinese or winter white as they beg for attention.

Then i love winter whites because they are such fat splats who just sit on your hand like a blob and are so funny waddling about. I also love chinese for how they weave around your fingers and grasp you with their tails!

not only could i not have just syrian OR dwarf, i couldn't have just ONE species of dwarf, either!

Oooh it's neck and neck now!

If there'd been an option to choose Syrians and Robos I'd have gone for that (not to say I don't love Sparrow and Turner - I do, they are different that's all).

I don't think I can decide.... I only have Syrians but (as most people are probably fed up of hearing me say ) I really want a Robo' or two! :P

I like the Chinese hamsters too, and would certainly like one of those in the future.

Also, I love Herbert, but he is very demanding! I wish I had his energy, lol! Keeping him happy is harder than keeping a cage of nine ratties happy, so maybe, just maybe, he's put me off Syrians a little in that respect. I definitely wouldn't want more than the two Syrians we have. Anymore pets like Herbert and we'd be exhausted!

I wish more people liked Robo's as there doesn't seem to be many 'good' Robo' breeders around, there is one in the West Mids. that I have seen a website for but no others yet whereas there are lots of Syrian breeders. (Maybe that's one for you to think about Julie! )
