I have found with 5 and 1 vole, I have no spare time anymore

They are all late risers and so I have become a night owl! They all get 20/30 minutes ball time and handling too, if they want to. I am finding Kretchers doesn't want to come out every night now. Bonaparte is desperate to get out always and then caves in and wants to go back, Desi sometimes does, sometimes doesn't and Algy wakes up late but then wants to be out all evening.

But in short, I no longer have any hamster free time, but wouldn't be without them.

To be honest, I don't begrudge the time - and I rather enjoy the discipline.

I was chatting this through the other day, and I actually find them rather stress-relieving... possibly why I seem to be accruing so many!

They don't leave me much time, mind - between social life; gym; running; going to the footy; and actually talking to the wife (shock-horror, I know!) - but I wouldn't trade them for the world

I agree about the stress-relieving thing. When I'm coming home from my 13 and half hour day in A&E I cannot wait to get in and see the hams - who, by this time, are all waiting for me. It gives me a way of winding down. On non-work nights it's even better as I have longer to play with them and I'd definitely give them a big thumbs up for peace of mind and making me feel feel better no matter what, bless them.
