No probs! I did take Rambo to have his claws trimmed a few weeks back (I didn't feel confident enough to do it myself) and he was really mad,tried to nip the vet he's never bitten in his life and is so sweet and friendly,but he had a proper grump on,so I looked online for solutions and found the sandpaper idea and his claws do seem to shorter so no more traumatic gets visits for little Rambo

Sorry, I haven't got any pictures. I use the Sammy's playpen, which is a wire fence with six panels. If you go to Amazon and search for Sammy's indoor/outdoor playpen, it shows the details. It's not ideal for Syrians, as they can easily climb over the top, so I can't leave Taylor unsupervised in it. I also have to tie the panels with cable ties, as my previous hamster learned how to flip the fastenings open again!

Some people on here use an empty children's sand pit instead. I think Souffle posted some photos of hers - try searching for playpen or sand pit. My ipad won't let me post links, so I can't link to it from here.

I use a big plastic storage box/bin for Rambos playground,it's high enough so he can't make a bid for freedom (even when he climbs on his toys) but I don't leave him unsupervised in it I lve watching him,he'll run round for abit and them do the "meerkat pose" which means "cuddle time mummy" lol xx

Haha awww,if I am talking to ny of my other 3 hams,Cookie (my only girly) will squeak and try and get my attention by climbing along her bars and try and get as close to me as possible..if she could squeeze through them to get to me,she would bless her funny little fuzzbuts aren't they?!
