My name is Disco. I am odd hamster
Where do I get all these slightly deranged pets from?!
I eat off a spoon

I play statues

I get stuck and look helpless

I very often say that one day we'll get a pet who isn't partly round the bend. Its what makes them all the more loveable. Disco is definitely a little character.

Re: My name is Disco. I am odd hamster
Very cute
And trust me, most hams are odd if our lot are anything to go by lol
We have one who indiscriminately kicks food out of the cage on a nightly basis, one who has issues about us knowing she likes her cage and/or has been playing with toys in there, two who only chew ceramic plant pots and ignore all normal chewing items...
I'm sure there's plenty more I haven't thought to list too lol

Re: My name is Disco. I am odd hamster
I am forever walking in, laughing at him and going to get my phone to photo him
He is currently sat in his water bowl, quite happily. He has a bowl because he broke 2 bottles in a day by wrenching the metal drinking bits off them and flooding his cage. Disco only chews metal. Not wood, or plastic, or hamster toys (or food, he just hides that to look at)

Re: My name is Disco. I am odd hamster
One of ours tried the metal thing. Or more specifically tried it with bars only. Then she realised she lost caging whenever she tried it and now just goes back to it for a day or two to scare us sometimes lol. We coaxed her onto food-based chewing instead
Ruining bottles is impressive though...

For added photo cuteness here is slightly bonkers horse. Masquerading in this photo as perfectly behaved horse

I am sure he can teach other hamsters
Firstly you stand to one side and run your teeth up and down it until it makes your human cross. Then you just chew it very noisily, especially effective at 3am. If human still pays no attention, grab metal bit with your teeth and wrench repeatedly. You may place your feet on the cage to get better leverage. Watch water pour out and frantic human google "why hamsters drink lots of water"
Look innocent as human discovers flood in corner of cage. Retreat to nest and snigger at stupid human
