The advert says russian dwarf hamsters but they could be mistaken, wouldn't be the first time

If it turns out they are chinese (they will have the long flat bodies and long pink tails) you should make a point of telling the ex-owner this so that they at least know what hams they had.

You will know a male chinese just by his extra baggage at the rear! Many people label dwarf hamsters without actually saying the word Chinese. I think they just see them as dwarf hamsters, which they are not. Well....they are yet they aren`t.... different genus and all that!

Yay for rescuing! Hope we discover what they are soon Also that cage is tiny, how could anyone put a hamster, let alone two, in there????
