Just ordered hamster stuff from Amazon!!

I just wanted to share in my excitement about the things I just ordered. They are a copy of the Hamsterlopaedia to read and refer to and a digital kitchen scale for weight measurements. I can't wait for them to get here!

You know I've been meaning to by HL for absolutely months (since I met and got chatting to the author - I was really impressed by him but didn't have enough money to buy the book there and then) The only hamster books I own are the rubbish P@H guide to dwarf hamsters from 2010 and "How to Fossilise Your Hamster" which is technically a science experiment book but does include that particular experiment

I will have to buy HL now though! Hope your things arrive fast I don't know how fast Amazon postage is.

We have the hamsterlopaedia too

Its the only book I guarantee to keep in the same room as the hamsters lol - I like it nearby when on HC or doing stuff with the hams as then I know its there when I need it.
We also have an old RSPCA guide to hamster care that my parents had when I was younger, that I sorta hijacked and had mostly memorised by the age of 12, but to be fair its not a bad book so memorising most of it was kinda useful. Then theres the collins hamster family pet guide which isn't too bad, and the P@H dwarf hammy book that er... isn't the best and irks me by not mentioning hybrids when thats all the silly store sells lol
Hamsterlopaedia is by far the best of the lot though, even if two of the others aren't too bad either

Erin, according the the estimates it gave when I was buying them, they postage was 3-14 days. I checked the order statuses today and the book is already been sent out and is in the mail and the scale has yet to be sent out but should be shortly.

Sam, I already have that Animal Planet book on hamsters that they sell in Petco and Petsmart over here. Its okay I guess, but I feel that the Hamsterlopaedia should outshine it consideribly.

Hollyhamster - I'm sure it will Hamsterlopaedia is way better than the rest of the books we have anyway.
