I ordered the book too, it came a few days ago. Read it all yesterday morning
It does go in to a lot of detail, almost too much for me -- but then, I did do A level biology and a genetics module in first year at uni, so a lot of the biology stuff I knew anyway
so a lot of the earlier detail I skipped. I mainly bought it for the list of diseases, though, and it seems very comprehensive
(One actual issue with it is that it's a few years old now, so things have changed a bit. There's no mention of husky Robos, for one, I'm assuming they just hadn't appeared when the book was published
Also it doesn't talk about all the variations of substrate, just mentions sawdust, shavings and I think the third one was paper? But this is me just nitpicking now, it's worth a lot more than the £3 I paid for it
