My Hammies!

I have always wanted a hamster and finally allowed one i was umm and ahhhing about the imac fantasy cage but i went to see it as thought they would escape but ended up with a mini Duna!
i was really all for getting Robos, but the women coudn't even pick them up then i thought they weren't for me and got two loverly Russian dwarfs!
they have a gnawing block, a wooden house and a fancy bowl and lots of treats!
they are called Tubby and Smudge!

i handled them today, Smudge is soo laid back and loves being handled, But Tubby needs a bit more handling to get her used to it, but i got them both out for about five mins and wont be handling them till tomorrow!

they don't really know how to use the wheel which is sad =[

I'm sure they'll be fine with a wheel soon

One thing to ask is are they from a pet shop? If they are then they are probably Hybrids and can be prone to diabetes. All this means in making sure you don't give them treats with sugar/corn in them - in fact there are lots of threads about it on here as I have a Hybrid too and found out from everyone on here about what to feed them

ohhh right okay, they have chew toys really!
they get along really well! they sleep togethor when they come out they go togethor its really cute to watch

i got them from pets at home? oh btw they have a deal on the mini duna's you get a bag of bedding, small bag of wood shavings and small bag of food! for 25 squids!

Yeah, mine is from the re-homing section from PaH. With Hybrids it's just avoiding sugar. Here's a link to the thread when I asked but there is loads more on here too -

They are totes adorbs. I love winter whites.... but the others are right, they could be hybrids! either way I hope they settle in, because they are awesome hammies!! and thyll figure out the wheel eventually
