Default Syrian or Dwarf?

This seems like a stupid question I know. >.< But I'm kinda confused now... my hamster looks like a Syrian but I'm about 90% sure that he has a scent gland on his stomach. From what i read only dwarfs have them there. So the question is do Syrian ever have scent glands on their stomach? If its just dwarfs i can get some pictures of it and him i suppose.

A picture would be great, people will be able to tell as soon as they see him

Does you hamster look more like this one?

or this one?

The top is a syrian and the bottom a dwarf. Dwarfs are more round and look like a a cotton ball or a pompom.

Looks like i don't have to go take a picture of him (I'd have to convince someone to let me use their camera and that would take awhile =P) the shelter has a picture of the whole family. Big Daddy is the dad and magpie is the mom. Mine is the one called Flopsy there.
