Default My hamster humps my other male hamster :S

I don't know what's wrong..

I got my first hamster, Hunter, a new friend and recently, I tried to put them on a neutral ground but hunter keeps humping my 2nd hamster, cookie..

They're both male, What's going on omg lol.

I got a 2nd cage just in case it didn't work out, should I just prepare the cage now?

It sounds like a dominance thing.

It's very rare for non siblings to get on and be able to live together.

It could be dominance however I really would check them very carefully because it is more than slightly possible that Cookie is a little girl!
This dominance behaviour can result in really bad stress for the submissive hamster and it may not eat or be allowed near the bedding of food bowl. It can escalate into a fight easily. Cookie may become withdrawn and lose weight if bullying occurs.

Don't worry, Cookie will settle soon enough and forget all about it, you were only trying your best for Hunter. They'll both be completely fine on their own
