Best of luck capturing the naughty ham, they can be so pesky once they taste freedom!

I found baby food worked great to lure Batman out from under the floorboards, it smells really strong especially if you warm it up. CB is more likely to come out during the evening when he'd usually be out, so i'd try then, he'll be curled up asleep during the day x

I am so happy to announce (and relieved) that we have found and recaptured our escapee. It was about 5 minutes ago and I was sat on my laptop when I looked to the floor and Captain Barnacles walked out from underneath the same sofa that I saw him disappear under earlier today. He ended up going underneath the other one and up along the curtain and by the phone line. I reached down and he sniffed my hand but as per usual wouldn't get on it so I used the tube. He climbed in and I was able to put him back into his cage. Needless to say he was rather thirsty and hungry. And now he sits there all innocent not knowing all the trouble he has caused today. The kids will be so happy in the morning when they know that we found him. My daughter was rather worried that we wouldn't find him ever again!

No, he's Captain Barnacles from the CBeebies programme The Octonauts. My son likes that programme. He even named his guinea pig Kwazii which is another character from that programme.
