Feel Terrible
I just dropped Bailey!
I went to get him out for playtime so I encouraged him into his little butter tub house which I made. I stupidly picked it up, without realising I've used the lid of the tub as the base -.- I only dropped him from about 7 inches in the air as he landed on my desk but I feel so terrible! I've checked him over and he's fine but I was terrified he was going to go running off and as he's not tame I'd have a hard time getting him back...
He's back in his cage and went trotting back into his butter tub so he clearly isn't too phased.

Re: Feel Terrible
I think everyone has an accident at some point, it's such an awful feeling! I was balancing bailey in one hand with her food in the other. She suddenly dived onto my desk. She was fine and seemed rather proud of herself. Doesn't change how bad we feel though! Glad o hear he's okay

Re: Feel Terrible
don't worry about it these things happen, it happened me a few times with Pumba, only he jumped from my hands if he heard a sudden noise, lucky it was only about 7 inches aswel, he was fine.
As long as he is fine, its's all good
i love the name Bailey btw hehe

Re: Feel Terrible
Awww
Don't worry, we've had Scamp outright dive head-first off things and fall a good metre before landing and she's always been ok. Scares me and makes me feel guilty (even when it was her choice lol) but hams can usually take more than we'd think

Re: Feel Terrible
When i was younger my sister had a ham who jumped off the stairs from the top of our 3 storey house and we took it to the vets straight away....There were no broken bones or bruises and he said it wasn't in shock or pain at all and guess what? It lived for another one and a half years more after that! Sometimes they are fine after falls and sometimes they aren't!

Re: Feel Terrible
I'm just glad he's okay and didn't go running off! Managed to herd him into his tube :')
As for myself, I was shaking and was close to having a panic attack

Re: Feel Terrible
I had a panic attack like that
I decided to try to hug honey when she was having a mad moment.. She leapt from my arms and dropped to the floor! I almost cried.
Luckily she was fine and was just desperate for a tiddle.
