the only thing he doesnt like is mealworms so i gave my huge tub to the birds XD.
but he also LOVES pasta!

Mine love Cheerios, milk drops, brocolli, baby porridge, peas & banana chips. Mealworms are a big hit too, except for who Cookie hates them. Poppy never liked them also.

Er... Ours get a massive variety.
Mealworms for everyone but Scamp, the harry hamster crunchie things, dogbiscuits, millet, choc drops, yoghurt drops, cheesy biscuits, fruit shaped biscuit things, cornflakes, porridge oats, rice crispies, cucumber, hamster muffins, monkey nuts, walnuts, Scamp adores apple/carrot/pear/grape/raisins/uncooked pasta/fruit-sticks but we haven't tried the others on them, and Scamp loves cheese (its her favourite treat) but the others are unimpressed.

And er... I think thats most of it. None of ours liked the babyfood we tried and none seem very fussed on cooked porridge either. We also have some mixed fruit and nuts but I can't remember what's in it, and that was their Christmas Present from my Mum lol. We have to be careful with that though as one of the nuts is best not fed to them and the russians always get nuts even if the others have fruit from it.

Oh and for the record - They get treats once or twice a week, so most treats go in airtight boxes and wait their turn, often going over a month between being fed. The russians also either only get sugar-free treats or get absurdly tiny amounts of anything containing sugar.

And in my defence about the essay-list - You asked!

(Oh and now we're eating cheesy pasta with veggie sausages for dinner - mostly because I fancy it and partially because I've decided to give Scamp a bit of cheese and let everyone try cooked pasta later lol)


I believe pasta is fine either cooked or uncooked though, and have fed hamsters both cooked and uncooked in the past. Cooked just means we leave salt out of the water is all.

Dusty likes pecan nuts, monkey nuts, cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, mixed seeds, yoghurt drops, carrot, cucumber, salad feast from petsathome......... in fact I think he loves everything except hamster chocolate, he hates it.

Boo's favourite treats are monkey nuts, a little lettuce and cheese! I've had to put strict rules in place over her cheese intake though, as I found my mother feeding her too much and getting over excited at how excited Boo was.. so the rules are more for my mother to follow! :P
