Re: The Robo solution
tehehe they are having a right run round tonight and I have the added benefit of knowing no fighting and I have the ovo free now to put the babies in till people pick them up, IF they have babies that is I gave them bread dipped in milk today just incase and the day after tomorrow a little boiled egg white.

Re: The Robo solution
Hi laura,
Glad to hear they are all doing well
I have never given any of mine bread soaked in milk, so don't know if it is good for them, but I wouldn't have thought bread is very beneficial.
The best thing to give them is boiled egg - the yolk is the most beneficial as it contains all the protein a vitamins, so this is the best but they can eat the white as well. Boiled or scrambled is best.
Chicken is another great thing for nursing mums and babies too.
Please have a look at my website on the breeding page for more info

Re: The Robo solution
Laura what age did your lot fall out? I wonder if mine will argue when they reach that age they are around 9 weeks old at t moment. I have the teenage squabbles to come?
My OH is making another bin cage for my robo boys, and I'm keeping the mini Duna incase they do fight. If that happens, like your lot, can they be re introduced at a later date? Or is it once they fight they have to stay separated?

Re: The Robo solution
Flamestriker - Lauras are probably pregnant and thats the probable cause for the fights.
Robos do sometimes fall out as teens, but yes they can be carefully reintroduced later if you need/want them to be
(Its not guaranteed to work, but it can be done and can work well)

Re: The Robo solution
My most recent set of babies have all hit puberty at four months all with varying effects.
Rolo tried to assert himself to Whizzbit once, but is so timid and loves Whizzbit so, that one telling off mortified him to the point of perfect behavior ever since.
Billy has been with Dasher since four weeks, and doted on him, untill one day biting him on the bum and stomach. Luckily for him Dasher didn't retaliate as he'd have been in a lot of trouble. They're in reintroduction at the moment, they've had one attempt together, but Dasher chased Billy to let him know he wasn't having any of his nonsense, and Billy was so terrified he couldn't calm down so I've gone for the longer term method. At the moment, Billy sits by the bars as soon as he wakes waiting for Dasher and as soon as he appears he gets really excited. They then sit together toughing paws and cheeping at eachother then they have a snack and sit chilling for hours.. I think they're going to be fine.
Lola pretty much hit puberty yesterday at bang on four months, having been the perfect daughter she chased mum Lilly about all night pinning her down, it went on for a few hours with her getting increasingly rough, till Lilly nipped her on the nose. She then felt very sorry for herself and has been on best behavior all day!
