Default Animal Rehoming

I am currently on the look out to rehome a syrian hamster.
While looking on the internet i came across the Scottish SPCA website and spotted a few on there but unfortunately they are up North in Balmore.

This is the link but they are in amongst all other animals, dogs, cats, rabbits etc. Its so sad to see all these innocent animals, i just hope they can find loving homes where they are taken care of.

Anyway, i cant seem to find any in my area and was just wondering if anyone on here knows of anywhere in the Glasgow area that has hamster rescues?

Jayne - I keep an eye on spca website too. They have had at the Bothwell Bridge site hamsters in the past - so I'd just keep checking back. I'm not aware of any other places locally but you could contact the glasgow branch and see if they know other places doing similiar work.

Sometimes they will move animals around so maybe could could ask if they would bring a hamster nearer to you to collect at your local home? Babyboos sometimes has some rescue hamsters or knows of some or the pets@home has rescue sections too you may like to keep an eye on. I know which ever lucky hammy gets a home with you will have a great life so here's hopeing one comes to you soon.

I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled on-line (ebay ) to see if there's anything in your area, Jayne. Good luck, as the others have said it will be a lucky hammy to find you!

Suga, i have looked at the branches in Glasgow, Milton and Bothwell as they are the closest to me. Havent seen any hamsters on there though

I am constantly looking out for rescues now, especially as there are so many out there that need a good home and a lot of you guys on here have inspired me

I think i may have found one, although i dont want to say too much at this stage and get my hopes up Will keep you all posted though!

They sometimes pop up in Scot Ads (the paper) or Gumtree (website)

I really want Rudolph/a member of his family from the SSPCA. Pfft. Parents.
