Re: Winter escaped!
If The Cloud ever escaped in the lounge, I couldn't actually ever catch him as his fluffy white bum wiggling at top speed across the floor made me laugh too much. I know he couldn't get in too much trouble in there so it wasn't a problem.
So glad you got Winter back cheeky little lady!

Re: Winter escaped!
Mine have done that. Mia has done it once, my cat helped me search, I just sorta followed where he went and the second his ears perked I knew where she was. Out went the cat and I found my hammy.
Before I got lexi's current cage, she used to get out of her crittertrails all the time. I remember more than one night, the cat waking us up and telling us that the hamster was in the living room. :3 Never been injured.

Re: Winter escaped!
Luckily not many escapes as i learned early on not to let him out of my sight. But at least all of the escape artists are safe
I think my hamster will never stop trying to escape from anything though it seems to be his hobby outside his cage. And inside its creating a bed for himself. Currently all the sawdust in the cage is pushed into one corner.

Re: Winter escaped!
Terrifying, luckily I knew where she was, others aren't so fortunate and have no idea where their hammy has gone

Re: Winter escaped!
Oh they love to stress us out...
And on the note of those still missing hams - Mia go home! Go on, be a good girl and go home! (Ditto to all other missing hams, but Mia is the girl I know by name as missing so I wanted to take the chance to shout at her lol)

Re: Winter escaped!
Holly really can't be all that bright. He only ever comes out for floor time in the living room, and though sometimes he doesn't want to be caught, he always falls for the same trap. I have several small boxes, tissue boxes etc, scattered around in the corners of the room, and he always makes a beeline for one of those. Gets him every time!
