Hamsters in past times....
An amusing thing happened today while I was "window shopping" the sales!
While in Past Times (a shop with things from past times such as art deco, childhood toys, wartime, victorian etc) I spotted a beautiful peacock bag I had wanted in the sale. So I decided to treat myself and the till girl went "We have been laughing at your bag the whole time you have been in here!"...so me not really thinking launched into the defensive..."I love Disney, just because I am in my 20's doesn't mean I can't wear a Disney bag!"...they both looked at me and went....the hamster bag! I turned red...a past HC'er sent me this bag-
I looked down to see I was indeed wearing my hamster bag (as well as a disney shopper) and laughed..I told them I have hamsters and show them. The girl looked sad and started telling me about her hamster that had recently died and we got talking about how many people have hamsters but keep it secret. She seemed to be getting it all off her chest and I let her tell me all about her little hammy.
I left laughing away but it made me wonder..have any of you got into a conversation about hamsters in an unexpected place? I have noticed people looking at my bag lots in town and one person remarked on the train "rotastak being trampled, huzzah!"

Re: Hamsters in past times....
I WANT YOUR BAG. I love you, Natalia, I tell you that, right? haha. That's mega
Numerous lecturers and I have started chatting about our pet hams in meetings.. lots of unexpected folk.. but my best one is my GP! Her daughter has a hamster.. we've had some mad long appointments yarning about them, only for me to leave and realise everyone in the waiting room must loathe me
Ace afternoon out Nat! I want to go shopping with you

Always a visit! You know I'd love that Thanks for the link to the bag, I shall be ordering it next week - I love the student loan good times that happen for 10 days before you realise you are still broke! Haha. I'll save money for some posh biscuits or something though .
I love the story about the lady on the train. I think I'd probably wee myself laughing if someone had said that to me
