Re: How long do they live?
James - Male Syrian - Put to sleep after a stroke due to broken back leg - Age 2 and a half years
Humbug - Female Syrian - Two litters - 1 yr and six months - Had an abscess behind her right eye that burst, was put to sleep before it poisoned her brain.
Turbo - Male Syrian - Neutered due to abscess in his testicles, died at 2yrs old. He had a calcium build up that the vet said was nothing to worry about, drank a lot of water while his body shut down. He died of old age and maybe lack of hormones.
Percy - Male Syrian - Fathered one litter - Six months - Put to sleep after complications with hyperthermia, it was tragic and could have been avoided. I was stupid.
Badger (Son of Humbug and Percy) - Male Syrian - Fathered two litters - 3yrs - Old age
Ruby - Female Syrian - One litter - Almost 1yr - Possibly due to the stress of being moved, as I was moving county and couldn't take her with me. I donated her to my college along with my gerbils.
Sandy - Female Dwarf Hybrid (runt)- 12 weeks - Unknown. She got very sick, had diarrhea so was separated from Cindy. When taken to the vet she had none of her previous symptoms that were, rapid breathing, cold to the touch and lethargy, died in her sleep with blood around her mouth and nose. Cause unknown.

Re: How long do they live?
I see people are still posting on here so I'll give my input.
I've only had three, two of which are still alive.
Gubes - Chinese male - 2.5 years - He had a lot of health issues which were thankfully cured but he died from cancer, he had it for about a year, after hibernation, dehydration and other illnesses, I couldn't afford to take him to the vets again but he still managed to last a year after he was diagnosed and lived a long happy life.

Re: How long do they live?
The one of Dexter did not meant to say: "Died: 24 July 2012. (Day I bought him.)" As that '(Day I bought him.)' was meant to say only on the line underneath that.
~
Unfortunately another one to the list...
Name: Moof
Male
Russian White Dwarf
Died: 25-10-2015
Age: 3 Years and 6 months (Since the day I bought him.)
Reason: Tumor in his right front leg.
~
Im at this point still very sad about this... as its very recent.
