I'm not even (that) ashamed
My friend and I popped into a new P@H store in Salford today. It was really nice. I was pleased to see Rolly wheels in all the small furry cages. Was a bit sad to see so many folk obviously shopping for pets as Christmas presents. There was some kind of beautiful pale coloured dwarfy snoozing in the adoption centre - I wondered a little if he was a pied robo, but I think he had pink eyes? I couldn't see much of him, as he was all snuggled up in his sawdust.
Anyway I got some Confetti Carefresh as it was cheaper than the plain for once (woo!) and his food and then at the til I saw this..
Well, I've always been complaining that I wish there was a little-mammal magazine! Here it is. It's designed for Children, I think, but it still looks informative and full of cute pictures. I'll let you know how it goes!
Fur-nando is away on his holiday now House seemed dead empty without his cage there when I walked in. I suppose I only have two nights here without him before I am away myself.

£3.50 *errrrk*. It means I'll have to leave my Focus and New Scientists for a week or so (normally get them to read over Christmas). I have about £20 for this week, and spent, ummm, £20 today, heh so I'm going to take a little out of my savings. But I'm glad I did. Staying in the house not getting things I need (fur-nando's bedding - was worried I won't have time / money to get any before his next clean!) was getting me down so much.

That study sounded stupidly flawed as well. All that will do is encourage people to buy unsuitable cages.
Sorry, don't like it at all :/

I think its a nice magazine for younger generations, there are some good tips in there. Its true not all hamsters bite, but at least it makes readers prepared that a lot can.
Though I'm way too picky to read something like that (bit miffed they imply theres only one colouration of winterwhite for a start)

Surely it's a bad magazine for the younger generation to read because of the false information?

Re: I'm not even (that) ashamed
I hate that they recommend Rostostak. Or whatever it is, we only have Ovo here. They obviously didn't have them in very BIG wire cages. Ovo is fine if you are willing to spend a ton of money for a small amount of room.
