I find it sad that hamsters are in small cages.

Can I add one suggestion though - when commenting, instead of just saying the cage is too small, how about adding a suggestion for an alternative and giving them a solution to the problem as well

(I know most won't care, but hey, one person might improve their set up after reading the comments, so you never know

)

It probably won't

but sometimes I feel that people are more receptive to ideas it isn't just a criticism.
I don't take criticism very well myself though, even if there is constructive stuff in there as well

This is what I would do as I hate critisism as well and it always sounds a lot nicer I find if someone makes a suggetion insted.

I feel you. I avoid them, as others. As it just made me so sick, then when you brought points up to why things were wrong, or what should be changed; they thought YOU were wrong or the normal Youtube 'omg shut up' comments came.

I dont bother searching for hammy vids anymore either most of them are either cruel or just stupid. I do tell people on comments if they are being cruel etc... but i generally get abuse then they decided to dislike my videos and spam all over my channel page -_-

It doesn't matter where you go, its near impossible to avoid coming across people keeping hamsters in ways in which most deem unexceptable.
Try keeping positive, there are members trying to make a difference on youtube and even if constructive criticism is not accepted be the video poster. Someone might read it and find it useful

As much as I like to see myself as a good hamster owner, I would always willingly consider advice and suggestions from others, no matter how experienced or not they are. As long as it done in good nature.
I don't see why anyone should be different...unless they are some almighty God of hamsters that is

youtube is just full of videos of animal cruelty

its awful, i love going through videos of cute animals on there but one always pops up of something horrendous. and they are usually the ones with the most views

a guy at work the other day (knowing i love horses and have my own) asked if i had seen the video on youtube of a horse having a heart attack while it was being ridden and dying on the floor and that it was hilarious. needless to say i said no i hadnt seen it and have no intention of ever watching it!! some people are sick
