Re: escape robo? :S
I've had hamsters escape, and we have 2 cats! We found both hamsters underneath the drawers of the dresser where there is a little cavity between the base of the drawer and the floor, do you have a chest of drawers or something similar where he could be hiding that you haven't moved? If so take out the bottom drawer completely and have a peek. Actually, thinking about it Mouse had actually somehow climbed into the bottom drawer so check in there too. Have you tired really smelly food like cheese? Are there any holes in the floor he could squeeze through? Any evidence of droppings or torn paper, carpet etc? I do think Mouse was stuck inside the drawer and couldn't get out by herself, if the same has happened with you it could explain lack of evidence. Not a nice thing to say but wouldn't there be evidence if a cat had got him, are your cats natural hunters and catch wild mice etc? The room we keep our hams in has the door left open and one cat sleeps just outside and at the time of the escapes, the other slept in the same room, but each time the hams have escaped unharmed as I think the cats were just not aware of them being there as hams do tend to stick to the edges of the room and run from cover to cover. Fingers crossed you find him soon, keep looking and stay positive as Nat says. Best of luck. x
