Feeding hay?
Just wandering... I didnt think you could give hay to your hamsters but I just found a hay rack for one does anyone know?

They don't eat hay. They only use it to make nests in. Some people like it but I would not recommend it as it can contain mites or fungus spores if it has been kept damp. The spikes could pierce the pouch if it is pouched to soften it as hamsters will do this. We stick to ripped tissue. I know in the wild hamsters do use dried grass to nest in but as far as pets go we would not take any risks. Pet product manufacturers will label all sorts of things for hamsters which are not suitable or unnecessary to make a sale!
