Default Sexism in the pet food industry

here goes :

Harry Hamster
Gerri gerbil
Reggie rat
Charlie Chinchilla
Russell Rabbit
Frankie Ferret

The only concession to those of a feminine gender is:

Gerty Guinea Pig

Ay, ladies, don't it make ya want ta spit

But isn't Harry Hamster short for Harriet?
and Gerri - Geraldine
Reggie - Regina
Charlie - Charlotte
Frankie - Francesca...
OK i give up with Russell

It is strange Pouchy, now you mention it, maybe small rodents just seem 'male' somehow
