I don't shred it either. I just throw it in & my hamsters have always made their own beds with it how they want.

Re: Dont like toilet roll for sleeping bedding!
Me too, I put whole sheets in and Dinah shreds them overnight. I saw somewhere (maybe on here?) someone saying they just cut a whole toilet roll in half lengthways and put it in the cage for hours of ham-fun. Keep meaning to try it. In fact I will do it now - the lovely cleaner at work gave me a stack of old toilet rolls as we have new dispensers so my airing cupboard is stuffed full at the mo.

Re: Dont like toilet roll for sleeping bedding!
Turns out cutting a toilet roll in half really isn't as easy as it sounds - lots of brute force required and it looks nothing like the lovely neat pic I saw. Still - excited to see what Dinah makes of it this evening.

Re: Dont like toilet roll for sleeping bedding!
I throw in a mix of bedding including P@H's shredded paper type and the zigzag cuts. But I like to drop in a couple of sheets of shredded toilet paper a day and they love to play with it. By the end of the week, the nest is HUGE!

Re: Dont like toilet roll for sleeping bedding!
Mine all love loo roll! I get about 50 sheets in a pile then rip it into 6/7 lines, fluff it up and that's them sorted.
Someone gave me huge bags of some p@h tissue bedding and the stuff was horrible, like confetti. The pieces were too small and none of my lot liked it and kicked it out of their beds!
