my Max did some lovely things tonight

I was sitting here 10 mins ago at the computer, with Max's tub cage behind me, around a metre away. i heard him taking a drink and turned round to look. as i did, Max sat up on his back legs and looked right at me, it was like he knew i was about to turn round! i didn't think he would be able to see so far with poor eyesight AND through the plastic of the tub!

then i picked him up and he sat licking my hand as he always does, which is lovely. i put him down on my dad and he walked around a bit. i offered him a sunflower seed and instead of taking the seed he pushed his nose between my fingers and climbed into my palm. He clearly was purposefully wanting to be on my hand.

He is so lovely and beautiful and despite his "pale fur and bulging eyes" i think he's the loveliest little hammy and i love how much he expresses love for me in his little squashy hammy way!

Ahh bless little Max, he obviously wanted a cuddle with his Mummy!
And of course you love him, faults and all - who cares about pale fur when he shows you such affection?

aww how sweet. i love it when my Sasha stands on her back legs looking for me, i feel wanted Max is gorgeous, no matter what anyone says

That's really sweet, I love it when they so obviously love you and want you to pick them up

We don't have that with our two ww's - they are ok when they are out but would never seek to be picked up. We do have it with several Syrians though, including already with both Carapaw boys who will both lay on their backs in our hands!
