Wooden Wheel sizes
I wanted to get a wooden wheel for my Syrian hamster (Roberto). I was told that for Syrians the best size would be the 11" wheel, however, I just spoke to the shop selling the wheels and they told to get the 8" one.
Roberto currently has a 7" and I feel is to small for him.
Any advice?? I don't really want to waste money in a wheel that would not be good for him...
Thanks

Re: Wooden Wheel sizes
An 11" wheel is great for a syrian.
Mine has an 11" wheel and he loves it.

Re: Wooden Wheel sizes
The 20 cm wheel (from karlie) is only about 7.6 inches, so wouldn't be much of an improvement.. tbh I would go for the 11 inch.. most people don't notice a hamster is arching because usually they just tilt their heads.. but yeah, I would go for an 11 inch.. then you are covered.. my dwarves handle the 20 cm wheel so a Syrian would be fine with a 29cm/11 inches

Re: Wooden Wheel sizes
The 11inch would be the best bet - no chance of back problems or the need to upgrade it again.

Re: Wooden Wheel sizes
8inch is considered the minimum, so not so much rubbish advice but bigger is 99% of the time better
