One more day!

Babyboos, believe me, as much attention as he gets he will not be jealous :P , he'll probably be happy that I'm not messing with him for a day or two.

Has anyone looked at the house I mentioned earlier? If so what do you think?

Can't wait till Wednesday. Can't wait till Wednesday... :P

I have the Co-Op for Tyr to play in. He likes it, but it is a bit small for syrians. I've seen it used for the dwarves and robos, and it is sufficient.

You should be getting your wheels around Thursday. Enjoy!

Default Co-op

It looks quite good but we don't have these here sorry for me to really comment on its suitableness for different hamster species.

I've got some similar wooden hidey places (not the same I haven't seen those in UK) they all seem a little small for Syrians, but fine for dwarf species especially smaller russians & robos. Funny how "designed for hamster" products often are too small for syrians, the most popular type of hamster!

I have mini exercise balls for Merry & Pippin and they do use them for short periods of time. I've found that the mini size we have here (I use habitrail mini balls) are too small for Alfie, who's a fairly large Campbells, but he can't manoevre the standard syrian balls. However he's no spring chicken so perhaps a younger ham would have the knack - Alfie refuses to run on any kind of wheel either.

Todays the day hammydude..........drumroll..........

IT'S WENDSDAY!!!!!! (I got the wheels today,Thanx Lunatic!!)

Yeah, I'm now the owner of 2 Campbells(the label said russian males) .PETsMART had only 3 dwarfs total(all campbells) and the one I didn't get was mean---hissing at the other ham in is tank and the employe. The 2 nameless hams squabled about 6 times on the way home then went to sleep ontop of each other. Once I got the cage set up the squabbled agaain then got along and took turns running on one of the wheels. While one was running the other would sit patiently and waait for it's turn(don't know why the other one couldn't get on the other wheel.?.Right now they are both sleep in their igloo.I didn't get the house cause it seemed too small and open.

It's so cool they way they play together, dig in the carefresh, and they even burrowed holes out from under the igloo.acording to the label on the tank at the store they are SUPPOSED to both be males.I haven't sexed them yet, will do so tomarrow. So far I've taken 2 pictures,I will take more and post them here and under the campbells setion.Any ideas for names?Until I post pictures I can describe them a little. They have the black stripe down their back. One is darker than the otherone which is almost tanish-white.The darker one's hair seems to be black with the color being only on the last 2-4 milimeters of hair.

Again, I'll post pics tomarrow and thanx again Lunatic!

Guess what, It's Wendsday! It's Wndsday! :P

Good it sounds like they're settling in well might have been an idea to sex them whilst you were at the store though! But it's done now.

Names for two boys.....I don't usually go for matching names (Merry & Pip were a moment of weakness influenced by my LOTR-obsessed other half!) Boy hamster names I like......

Albert (Albie or Bert), Charlie, Fred (or Freddie), George, Bailey, Domino, Harris, Harvey, Ollie, Oz, Roly, Joey........

Lol! I like Grover. You could have Grover and Elmo (isn't Grover a Sesame St character or am I mixing up my childhood tv?)

I know that I said that I would post pictures today, I still might but it will probably be between tomarrow and Monday when I do.Reason-I've got some pictures but not exactly great ones yet cause those little rascals NEVER like to sit still. They are always zoom zip zap zoom and......just too fast so far to get decent pictures.

One of them the darker one likes me,I'll set my hand in the tank and he'll come and sit in my hand and I can hold him and pet him, no taming required on his part. But the other one .I think it has a death wish for me.Examples- This morning they were both in the igloo sleep or so I thought, I then put my hand in the opposite side of the cage to clean up some of their mess and the little critter zoomed out of the igloo and went straight for my finger and got it too.(drew blood ) Thats not the only time. When we were coming home from PETsMART I opened the box to watch them for a while. It stood up on it's hind legs and sniffed my finger.I thought that it liked me.Until it bit my finger. Whenever it sees my hand it tries to bite it.I don't think that it's scared of my hand because if so it wouldn't come all of the way acroos the tank to bite me.I just don't know about him.

I'm going to sex them as soon as they are awake.By the way these hams were $9 apiece instead of $13.If I can get a few still shots of them I'll try to post them tonight.

Names still undecided.Maybee ? Pip&Squeak ?
