Default Taking hamsters on holiday

I'm going away in July for 4 days and have a choice to either take the robo's with us or call in a pet sitter. I'm not overly confident on leaving them in the care of a pet sitter as they are such small wild things and if a fight was to break out I won't be there

With this in mind, I would like to take them with me on holiday, but caravan site is 1 1/2 hour drive and I don't know if this would be too much stress for them. I would keep them in their cage for the whole journey

Argh, this is such a hard decision!

When I go home to visit my parents it is around a 1 1/2 hour drive and I keep all 3 hams in their cages. They just sleep through, or have a little sniff around. It is up to you but I do it around 4 times a year and its fine

I think if you kept them in their cage and made sure the cage was kept really still the hammies probably wouldn't even know they were on the move!
So I reckon you should take them

I wish I didn't have so many pets coz I'm going away for 4 days in october but cant take all my lot as I'd need a removal truck to take them with me lol

I once took my hamster Whitey up north in his cage in the car on the back seat. He slept the whole way pretty much. He was absolutely fine and that must of been a 2-3 hours drive although I can't really remember exactly how long it took. Just made sure radio wasn't loud and it wasn't too hot/cold in the car. Checked on him when we stopped etc. Also took out his wheel and any other toys that could tip over. Also took out water bottle because it would leak because of the movement. I offered him water when we would stop x

I think it'd be fine, but as its been said just take out toys and water bottle and maybe just put some cucumber in for water
And make sure the cage is secure, but just make sure the caravan is at a good temperature for them
