I hope that means she's ok. Is there any chance she could have had more dead pups and eaten them herself? I know it's a grim thought but it happens....

UPDATE!
Well, it's been 2 days since the sad moment, and she is doing fine.
Piper's stomach has gone down, and she is eating and drinking, and running and playing. It's was scary for a while, because we didn't know what would happen. She only had one pup, but the pup was a good Inch, 4cm, long. So, we think she only had one pup, that and sicne there were no signs of any others.
So, she is doing fine. Thanks for everyone's support, and Piper sends a BIG SQUEEK to everyone.

Very good to hear!
Are you going to try breeding her again? That is, after she recovers from this scene?

We are thinking about it, but we are going to let her rest for about a week and a half to two weeks. Then slowly re-introduce her to a male, and see what happens.

You should give the female a minimum of six weeks to recover from a birth, even if no pups survived, she still had to grow them inside her which is a big strain on her internal reserves. If you give her plenty time you are more likely to be successful next time.
Just to check, the male and female are both the same type, yes? Sometimes a winter white mated to a campbells can produce problems with the size of pups being very large and birth complications.

Yes, they are both Robo's.
So about six weeks before re-introducing her back with a male?

I wouldn't breed her again personally after what has happened, I guess it's your decision but I wouldn't want to put her through it again.

Well, I think it will be ok.
I think it was weird for her to have only one pup. I think with the rest she is going to have, that it will work out the second time.

I agree. As long as she gets her rest, then I think trying again would be fine. She seems to have bounced back pretty easily too, from what I understand.
