Echo likes fingers too much
My new hamster Echo is adorable. However when i go to give her treats she doesn't care abouth them so much as she does my fingers. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif) I've tried three different types with no difference in result. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to try to get her less interesting in my fingers? She's very curious about things but still very skittish.

Re: Echo likes fingers too much
My dwarf was very much like this when i first got her, she now no longer bites and although isn't tame as such, she will let me put my hand in her cage and will take treats from me.
I got this far but just being near the cage and letting her get used to my smell,
Good luck

Re: Echo likes fingers too much
yea i try to spend awhile by her cage everyday and talk around /to her. she loooves her exercise ball. she is so fast i`m scared i`d lose her if i let her out loose. it takes her all of two seconds to see its there and jump in it. even the first time. she zooms around the kitchen at high speed. its adorable.

Re: Echo likes fingers too much
Have you tried rubbing your fingers in her bedding before you offer a treat, or in the sawdust?

Re: Echo likes fingers too much
Hope that works for you, it often settles them. You should also try having her in the bath. To let her run about you and gain confidence. There are many GREAT tips on taming if you search the website.
