Close pet stores are not always a good thing if you have no willpower. hehe

That at Lakeside? If so I need a trip to ikea If it's a huuuge one, I always like going to P@H that aren't my local.
I used to have a p@h on my way home from work which was deadly.. job I hated+pets at home = sesame and lotss of money spent..

Re: Hooray new P@H branch
lol looks like we all have trouble staying away from pets at home
Pet shops are like my favourite pass time (apart from playing with hammies obviously )
But it feels like such a failure if I don't come out with at least one new thing
I'm thinking about getting a pink mini duna as a spare in case of fall outs (the perfecto tank that is my current spare will be sold) But it was £30 in P@H so I'm hoping a local store might do it cheaper.

Yeah. It's not as big as the one at Pitsea (if you know that one?) but it's pretty big, there's always plenty of cuties in there and they have quite a range of stuff.
I've been tempted by 2 different dwarfies in there but when I returned, they'd been rehomed. :/ So beware if you do decide to visit, the hamsters always seem to put on a cute act and run to the glass.

Re: Hooray new P@H branch
My dad works in Romford (and I was born there) so I always think of lakeside as my local ikea, when actually I think it's croydon..>.< but I might hitch a ride and go shopping in ikea and visit the p@h :3 I loove seeing all the babies in there, I mean, I get sad I can't have them, but they're so cute (+ I like talking people into buying better things for their hams..)

They've recently been getting Chinese hamsters in too and I never realised how tiny they were! Especially Syrians too as I've never had a baby and Cooper is massive! I'd say if you were ever nearby to pop in there. Everytime I've seen them sell a dwarf they always recommend the Duna which is good too.

Yes our local branch does that too. There was a little Russian there last week that needed a new home because it was 'older' than the other hamsters.
We have two Pets at homes about 3 miles away in different towns.
I noticed in our local one last week that they have got the Syrians in a bigger cage which I'm glad to see as I hated seeing them in those small foot long cages.

Re: Hooray new P@H branch
The little robo I saw was given into the shop as her owners couldn't look after her (or so they said) Otherwise I wouldn't have felt quite so bad for leaving her!
Also, cause she was on her own and clearly not as 'appealing' as the wee babies in the other tank. Still cute all the same asleep with her head sticking out the house <3
I have the cage, toys and everything ready as well, I might try my mum again and hope shes still there.
Oh dear...I'm so bad, I should be convincing myself not to get another
Honestly, one more would be my absolute limit!
