Put rocks underneath the water bottle So to have a drink they have to climb onto them

I can try, they are quite small and I have already built some wooden steps, but depends if i can find the perfect sized rock

I think I will get the vet to do them because they've gotten so long that its starting to curl and I don't think they are wearing down well then afterwards i can furnish the cage with some natural materials

For the gerbils I use a (very well cleaned) brick to put their food bowl on top of. That way they often go on top of it while they eat and it naturally wears them down

I haven't found nails much of a problem with the hamsters, apart from Treo and Peggy in her old age (when she was calm enough for me to cut them)

I got loads of bricks for holding down the rabbits tarpaulin, thats handy
