Re: Karlie Wonderland Exercise Wheel Review
I have the 29cm one for my syrian and he loves it soooo much. It's really quiet and looks nice in his cage (although it takes up alot of room!)
I'm not too keen on the little bumps/ridges inside the wheel though, I would have prefered them to not be there or to be smaller.

Re: Karlie Wonderland Exercise Wheel Review
I also have this wheel! You CAN clean it though. It's not a big deal. You can clean it with water and whatever stuff you use to clean the rest of your hamster's things. It's like cleaning a wooden chopping board. It takes a little longer to dry. Dry it with a towel, let it stand for about 10 minutes and it's fine!

Re: Karlie Wonderland Exercise Wheel Review
I bought this wheel for my Donny back near the end of December (2015) when his old wheel was clearly too small for him. For the most part he hasn't chewed on it much. Apart from the one day he had a chew session and decided to take a good gnaw around the edge of the wheel at the back. (He likes to sit and hide behind it.) I told him off and sanded it down after that and he hasn't chewed on it since.
I seem to have gotten lucky that my wheel had no splinters as Donny has had no injury to his feet. And the silent spin is currently a god-send although I can still hear 'him' when he runs on it. Which is much better in comparison to the old wheel and the constant clanging and shaking of the bars.
I'm also fortunate that I don't have to clean it because Donny is litter trained. And for saying this I'm going to have to touch wood ^^'
Should I need to replace it in future I may take an opportunity to decorate it but obviously making sure I don't use anything that can be toxic to the little fella.

Re: Karlie Wonderland Exercise Wheel Review
I love this wheel. Have had to wash Woodstock's one a lot due to a mte infection possability. It has swelled up and i have had to sand it down to make it spin properly.
Lovely quiet wheels, hope zooplus start to sell the large one again soon.
