Default New cage arrived today

The robo's zoozone2 arrived today and I put them in it straight away, and straight away they've settled in

The trough is ideal for sand baths

I've had to steal the rabbits water bottle until I get a ferplast sippy as the hole is quite high

Very happy with it! Although the lid doesn't have any clips to keep in in place when opening it and the lid dropped in the cage Thankfully the robos moved out of the way in time. Will have to do something about that

Yay, ZooZone! My robos use the feeding tray insert for sand and litter. They really enjoy their cage!

That looks great, so much space for them.
I love the pic of them in the wheel together, my ww's used to do that but they would go side by side!

Just watching them in there makes me feel happier that I parted with the £50
And I've seen all three of them in the wheel before lol
Got a hammock and more toys to furnish it with after I get it meshed
Glad to hear its a good choice x

Looks great! I would just but them a Classic water bottle (like your rabbit one) as those `Sippy` bottles can be difficult for a tiny hamster like a Robo to drink from. The ball-baring is completely different. The red topped Cassic bottles are by far the best in my opinion.

As for reaching the bottle spout, all you need to do is take some plain strips of pine (off-cuts from DIY store or a cheap pine shelf) saw a few pieces about six inches in width and depth and place this under the spout as a stepping stone and cover with shavings. I use to stagger them like little steps! The fiddlestix is fine, but a flat wooden surface would be better for them.

that looks great shazza I recommend the living world glass water bottle as the spout is very long (and it doesn't leak) xxx

Oh, I've already bought one, but was going to put it in the cage with the other bottle, so they have two. Will see if they can work out how to use it, if not I can always take it back

And thanks for the step idea, did you use any adhiesive of some sort? Like pet safe glue to do the little steps? Thanks! x

Wow, that is a long spout. Bought it on amazon now. The joys of knowing your mothers card details lol

Had to get the large one because of the height I need to fix it on which is a pain

No glue, just place the flat pieces of wood one on top of the other and placed a few craft nails through both pieces of wood to hold them together. The bottom piece is longer than the piece in the top, so at one end (or both ends if you like) you then have a ` step` because the upper piece is shorter than the piece below it. Once you have it the height you want, just take it outside and hammer a few thin nails through both pieces just in from the corners so the wood does`nt split. Place it below your bottle and voila! A simple step made from pine that is safe for them to chew on aswell.

I always covered mine with shavings once it`s in the cage. Just make sure it`s at a height where the robos don`t have to reach up too high to drink from the spout or it defeats the purpose really. They should be able to stap up and sit comfortably at the spout, so you can play around with different shapes and heights until your happy.
