Have you heard about the RSPCA stating its cruel to keep hamsters in a small cage?
Do you agree with what the RSPCA now state that a majority of hamster cages sold in petshops and pet superstores including the dwarf hamster cages that they are far too small to keep hamsters in?
I agree with this, they Are way to small, & don't offer the animal space to move about freely.I'm glad to see that the EQUINECANINEFELINE website are realising this & are now stocking bigger cages for dwarfs and syrians-there's the Mickey 2 XL & Kios, which are both barred cages,or the Duna Multy which is a very large tank style cage like the Mini Duna but way bigger, and cages like the Critechi 15,Hamster Heaven for syrians-these cages are all around 80cm in length which for anyone still working in feet and inches is just under three ft in lenght.
Do you think its cruel to keep both syrians and dwarfs in small cages or tank style cages?Do you keep your dwarf and syrian hamsters in a XL cage?
Also there's the Ruffy2 & Critechi 15 that are really big cages but dont know whether these two would be suitable for roborovski hamsters as the bar spacing might be too wide so they might escape-but they'd be great for syrian hamsters.
The Duna Multy is an excellent tank style cage for either syrian or dwarf hamsters.
All these above cages can be found on the Equinecaninefeline website-they are an excellent company-the best one out there for cages or anything you need for your hamsters-they also deal with cats, dogs, and other animals.
I highly recommend ECF-they deliver your goods quickly as well.
