Carmelo's Birthday and the Derby at Petco! :)

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on much, again I am very busy, so I have some spare time and decided to update you all about Carmelo. Carmelo's 1st year with me has been wonderful. His "birthday" (we are not sure of his birthday, the pet store didn't know of it, so it's more of an anniversary, but we call it a birthday LOL =) ) is April 13th, 2006. He's an awesome, lovable ham and I love him. =) So, a few weeks ago, Carmelo was entered in Petco's "Hamster Derby". He came in second place in his heat. Not to bad. =) He kept running back to me, so I figured he truly loved me. hehe. There were tons of little kids there and I was the only teenager LOL but that didn't keep me from having Carmelo race! So, I have pictures of the derby and of his birthday! Happy birthday Carmelo!

Of course, he opened up presents! I got him this track (in the video above), but two of the curved pieces were missing. So I returned it. He got a little frustrated being on it anyways. So I bought him these treats anyways. He also got yogurt drops, a shred-a-box and honey stick treat for Easter! That's all! Hoep everyone's hams are doing well.

Hah yeah I haven't put him in his ball alot lately, my family mostly just handles him. But yes he may win sometime hehe. Thank you!

Glad he had a great birthday - that hamster-ball racing looks a lot of fun - our hammies are all mad ball-runners so I'm sure they'd love doing that

We don't know exactly when our 3 Syrians were born either - but it's somewhere around Bonfire Night (5th Nov) so we've decided to celebrate it then - somewhere quiet and away from fireworks though!

Aww, Happy Birthday Carmelo! The ball racing looks great fun, we have races at our hamster shows where the hams go in tubes and have heats!
