Default Weeing on karlie wheels?

i ordered the karlie wooden wheel from zooplus on wednesday and i was just wondering what happens if your hammy wees on the wheel? how could you clean it? and i know that alot of people reccomend plasticoting it but what if they chew the wheel would that not be dangerous for them? pictures will be helpful thanks

Im pretty sure nobody on here would use a plasticote that was toxic really, i do really reccomend it though just in case.
I think somebody said something about vinegar, and hot water?

Plasti-Kote is non-toxic and safe, and makes the wheel wipe clean. Without plasti-kote-ing it, you can soak it, and use a vinegar solution to clean it, but the wood could easily warp with repeated exposure to that much water, and the wheel generally won't last nearly as long; and sometimes, nothing will get the pee out, and that's the end of it.
